Swoopa alternative for resale and local deals
Swoopa’s home page is about buying cars from private sellers, and its plans start at $47 a month (or $28 a month for 12 months) for 7 searches on Facebook Marketplace only. Flip Alerts is for US flippers of clothing and local pickup finds: a free plan, then $19 or $39 a month, with Vinted, Depop, Grailed, Poshmark and Mercari next to Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp on every plan.

Where Swoopa is stronger
- Cars: filters by make, model, year and mileage, a filter that compares asking price with estimated resale value, VIN and title detection, and car marketplaces (Cars.com, Autotrader, KSL.com) that we do not read.
- Reach: Kijiji, Gumtree and Nextdoor, and Facebook Marketplace in any country where Facebook offers it, by its FAQ. Flip Alerts is US only and reads Facebook Marketplace around 24 metro areas.
- A phone app with alerts on iOS and Android. Flip Alerts has no app.
- A faster stated tier: Instant on Nitro, and its dealer page states a 47 second average alert speed. Our fastest interval is every 4 minutes.
- Price drop alerts and up to 3 team members on one account, which we do not offer.
Where Flip Alerts is different
- Fashion resale: Vinted, Depop, Grailed, Poshmark and Mercari are on every plan. None of them appears in the marketplace lists on the Swoopa pages we read.
- Price: a free plan with 1 search, then Pro at $39 a month for 15 searches read every 4 minutes. Swoopa’s lowest month-to-month plan is $47 for 7 searches on Facebook Marketplace only.
- One search can watch any mix of our 8 marketplaces, and every plan includes all 8.
- Alerts in your own Discord channel, each find as it is found, or an email digest. Discord does not appear on the Swoopa pages we read.
- Our intervals are stated in minutes, and the start page shows the measured time between reads and from posting to found, from our own read log.

Pick Swoopa if you buy cars from private sellers, want price checks against market value and VIN and title detection, need a phone app, or buy outside the US.
Pick Flip Alerts if you flip clothing, shoes, bags or local pickup finds in the US and want one search across Vinted, Depop, Grailed, Poshmark, Mercari, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp, sent to email or Discord.
Moving a search over
Type the words of your Swoopa search as keywords (every word must be in the listing title) and the words you never want in “skip titles with”. Set a price range, pick the marketplaces and, for Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace or OfferUp, your zip code. The free plan needs only an email; Starter and Pro start with 7 days free.
