How Flip Alerts reads eBay
We open eBay's public search page sorted by newly listed in a real browser, at one page every 45 seconds for all users together, and send new listings that match your words and price.
eBay's own saved searches work too and are free; Flip Alerts is useful when you want eBay in the same feed as Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp.
What to know
eBay sometimes answers our reads with an error page; when it does, eBay pauses and retries later, so eBay alerts are the least steady of all.
We never sign in to eBay, never get past a bot check and never copy listings beyond the short alert that links back to them. If eBay slows us down, it pauses and resumes on its own; the status table shows when it was last read.
